With Easter just around the corner, we’re all looking forward to a long weekend when we can scoff chocolate eggs to our heart’s content! Egg hunts are organised up and down the country in parks, schools and back gardens. But how on earth does the Easter Bunny get all this done without anyone seeing them? As far as we’re aware, there is no army of elves and herd of reindeer on hand. So we’ve come to suspect that the Easter Bunny works in much the same way as we do here at HL Decorating! So what lessons can we learn from our bouncy friend?
A Fresh Lease of Life
The Easter bunny is all about springtime. He, or she, is very much a symbol of the new life of Spring. When we walk into your office to begin a redecoration project, we’re working to the same ends. Your business can enjoy its very own springtime as walls, furniture, fixtures and fittings are all renewed and refreshed. Indeed, offices can experience something of an eternal springtime by implementing an ongoing decorative maintenance programme throughout the year.
Working in Secret
In the blink of an eye a park, garden or village green is littered with the wares of the Easter Bunny as brightly coloured eggs peak from their hiding places. When you choose HL Decorating, you can expect the same level of magic with your office redecoration project! We work outside of your business hours so that your day to day activity is not affected. Your downtime is our uptime and this flexibility means that you won’t notice our presence until suddenly you realise that your office is all shiny and new!
It’s All in the Preparation!
But how are we able to provide such flexibility in our service? Our chocolate toting, nose twitching friend doesn’t paint the eggs as they’re hidden – and similarly our service is all in the preparation. We take the time to assess the environment for a redecoration project so that we can prepare the necessary areas. This allows the actual decorating process itself to take place efficiently and precisely.
Using Colour to Create Appeal
From polka dots to zig zags, shiny to matt, Easter eggs are a riot of colour. Theories behind this tradition range from Orthodox Christian traditions of dying the egg red to represent blood, to Pagan gifts to celebrate Spring. Our own Mediaeval King Edward I seems to have had a helping hand in the tradition by ordering 450 eggs to be covered with gold leaf at Easter time! We love a bit of colour too, and are always happy to share our experience with clients. Clever use of colour can help to reflect corporate branding, inspire creativity or even encourage focus.
Listening to Our Surroundings
Communication is key for us at HL Decorating. Circumstances change and business demands can be fluid. We maintain a level of flexibility in our planning which allows us to accommodate the changing schedules of our clients. Just as the Easter Bunny knows when sudden unforeseen rainstorms mean that the eggs need to be moved inside, we’re also utterly accommodating!
Being Completely Adorable
OK, we’re being optimistic here. We’ll admit that when it comes to cute, the Easter Bunny wins hands down! At HL, though, we are concerned with appearances when it comes to our projects. We’ll leave your office in a clean and clear state so that your day to day business is not impacted by a redecoration project.
Who knew that there are so many similarities between redecoration and the Easter Bunny! At HL Decorating, we’ll always show the same subtlety, discretion and attention to detail that you’d expect in the very best egg hunt. We do, however, draw the line at wearing bunny ears.
