In every school, office and work place there will be areas that get damaged repeatedly that require regular making good and redecoration costing money and causing disruption.
Case Study: Office Goods’ Lift Lobbies
In 2010 we were tasked by one of our clients to provide a solution for one of these areas, the 12 goods’ lift lobbies in their main office building that were used heavily and were being damaged so much that they required making good and redecoration every year.
As the goods’ lift lobby on each floor was next to the main lift lobby and used by the office staff our client still wanted the walls to be painted but in a more durable product rather than clad in a protective sheeting such as a checker plate that they felt would look too industrial.
After conducting a few tests we specified Coo-var Anti-Graffiti Coating.
Although the area wasn’t suffering from graffiti the anti-graffiti coating is resistant to impact and abrasion and seals the surface it is being applied to making it easy to clean.
We redecorated the lift lobbies and then applied the water based graffiti coating which is a clear glaze to protect the painted surfaces.
The lobbies have not needed redecorating for six years, there is some minor damage visible but they still look good.
The cost of the work was the same as redecorating them twice, before they were being decorated once a year.
The cost of four redecoration cycles has been saved.
We work in London, Essex, Cambridge, Hertfordshire and the M25 area.
